Kiara, who hails from Tsawwassen, says she often visits Richmond with her family for shopping and Chinese food.  A high school student who aspires to enter into nursing field, this was Kiara’s first time having her hair professionally coloured.  She arrived at the salon looking for a fresh but subtle change but without any drastic change in length.  James, Cutting Edge’s master stylist, expertly assessed her hair which was light brown monotone in colour,
fine in texture and thick in volume cascading in a straight waterfall down her back, but dry, particularly near the brittle ends.  

James trimmed off an inch and a half of the damaged ends and added layers ends for volume and ease of styling.  He applied an oil treatment to condition and repair her locks and then opted to add baby ombre highlights of varying lengths to the ends and sides to add shine and depth.  Curling the hair brought out the subtle highlights to softly frame her face and brighten her complexion.

My, our make-up artist, completed the make-over with a natural fresh day-time look as well as a more glamourous smoky-eyed look, as Kiara models clothing from Romeo + Juliet.
